This store just switched over to digital price tags, which lets them change prices instantly whenever they want, and they're already using them to rip people off. It's absolutely disgusting that Safeway has decided to use surge pricing on groceries, but check out the price on milk compared to QFC. Even without the sale, QFC's price is much lower. People are struggling to make ends meet and Safeway is busy finding new ways to drain their wallet. I'll never spend another dollar at any Safeway again.

I do not like going to this grocery store anymore since they got rid of the shopping baskets. Taking away things that used to be a commonplace courtesy makes me feel no longer valued as a customer. It seems like they no longer want to be a convenient walk in grocery store.

Usually I have a good customer service experience at the store. But not today. I went through self check out and needed to take out some cash. You had zero checkout lanes open. I bought two things. And had an issue checking out it kept canceling my card. So your employee comes over to help me. And he wants to take my card out of my hand. He's not wearing a mask. There's no hand sanitizer over on his station. I don't want him touching my debit card. I don't know if he's carrying a cold or a virus and there's people who are getting sick right now. I wanted to swipe my card not tap it so I could get cash back. And he keeps telling me top it tap it. And I keep telling him I don't want to do that I want to do it this way. So he's not listening to me I don't get my cash back and I have to come back into the store to buy something else. So I said if this isn't working properly why don't you put up a sign saying it's not working. He said well it's not working but it just wasn't working for you. I'm tired of your employees running their mouth back at me when I'm trying to communicate with them something about their customer service and their communication or lack thereof. Can you please add

Recently, (March 20th) I did a pick-up order at the Safeway on Rucker in Everett. In that order was a bag of whole wheat flour. Today (March 30th) I was making a loaf in my bread machine. I opened and used the flour. After I had it going I was putting the flour in a container and I noticed the "Best By date was 14 January, 2026. (2 months ago). I did call and let them know. They were polite.

If you have issues with a purchase at this store and there is a female at Customer Service, over the age of 35... Do Not Bother. She will not only cut you off every time you even try to explain the situation (because she has no interest in helping you), but she will ignore all forms of conversational decency, treat you like you're the idiot and make it abundantly clear that you're nothing but an inconvenience to her... Even when you try to explain that their Corporate Office Has told you their Store Specific Customers Service is the only way you can get the issue resolved. I wish this were a joke and I am so glad she got me on a good day, when I'm honestly just not interested in the argument and not even being allowed to form a full sentence without being spoken over. I'm pretty sure I heard her rolling her eyes when I asked if I could actually speak without being spoken over and cut off.
